Ikebukuro Edge is owned by the same company that runs Takadanobaba Area. It's one of the most well-known venues in Tokyo, and hosts many event lives and one-mans. With a capacity of 250, it usually caters to smaller indie bands.
To get to Ikebukuro Edge, the easiest station to go to is Ikebukuro Station. There are a few exits you could take to get to Edge, but the easiest would be exit 42 on the East side. This exit takes you up a flight of stairs right in front of the Don Quijote. Turn left and go down the narrow street next to the shoe store (blue arrow).
Keep walking until you pass the Dr. Martens store, then turn right.
Next to the Family Mart is the building Edge is located in, on the 2nd basement floor.
If you arrive around 15 minutes before the doors open, there should be a growing group of people waiting outside in the empty space to the right as the staff will begin calling tickets in blocks. Usually, ticket numbers up to 30 (sometimes 50) will get called to go down the stairs and wait, while the rest will wait in this space and sometimes behind the venue.
If you have arrived after the doors have opened and no one is outside waiting to go in, you can head down the stairs to the bottom floor.
Other Useful Information:
You will not be allowed to get a drink after the live is over, so be sure to get your drink before the last band plays (if the live is a one-man, you have to get your drink before the band starts or before their encore starts).
Merch tables will be located in the back, furthest from the door.
There isn't much space to chill during the live if you don't want to be watching all the bands playing at the event. There is a small lobby by the entrance, but it doubles as the smoking area. Some girls prefer to hide out in the bathroom area, as Edge actually has some of the cleanest bathrooms in terms of Tokyo venues.
Since there are no lockers and no bag check, the best option for larger bags would be a locker in the station.
